Planning:Match Cuts/Rule of Thirds

Match Cuts

A Match Cut is also know as Match on Action

A match cut is a type of edit

Match cuts help to achieve community editing because they make a movement or action appear seamless so the viewer follows the action rather than realising an edit has just taken place. Match cuts always use camera shots from a different Camera Angle or Shot Distance
Rule of Thirds
(Definition as found online):

The rule of thirds is a concept in video and film production in which the frame is divided into into nine imaginary sections, as illustrated on the right. This creates reference points which

act as guides for framing the image.

The theory is that if you place points of interest in the intersections or along the lines that your photo becomes more balanced and will enable a viewer of the image to interact with it more naturally
