According to the BFI Statistics yearbook, 3 most successful genres at the UK box office are animation, action, comedy and the 3 least popular genres are romance, documentary and war. Having this in mind, I'd like to create either an action film or a comedy, but the problem with creating a comedy is that we don't know if we will successfully entertain the audience and if we are going to be funny enough to catch the attention of as much as possible people. Considering this, the best genre to use is action, which matches good with sub-genres such as thriller, horror, mystery.Deciding that our official genre is going to be spy/mystery, a possible story line I thought about is having 4 spies who are connected in the same kind of organization. This would be suggested by all 4 of us having something symbolic, such as the same necklace or the same tattoos on a visible place. Other ideas that I had in my mind were having a fighting scene or some bloody scene. I also thought about the 4 spies, having a boss who is evil and fooling them that they are working for a good organization.
I was thinking that the type of characters we have should be neither good or bad people, but people who do everything so they can survive and protect the closest to them. The characters we represent are definitely not going to be villains or evil, they will be just normal people who happened to be spies who protect each other. Since they are going to be united by the same secret organization called "Scorpio" (or similar), they are also going to have one boss who gives them the orders for who to spy on or kill. The character of their boss I think should be a villain who is only using the spies, while they are fooled that they are working for a good man.
