Production and Distribution Company Logo:
At the beginning of every film there is a logo of the
production/distribution company because the movie itself advertises the company
which has helped with the funding and media distribution. Examples of these are
DreamWorks, Universal and many more.
Film title:
The title of the film also appears at the very beginning and
it always has a purpose. Most of the times, titles reveal a bit of information
about the movie itself, for example the title “The Hunger games” says exactly
what the movie is about – games of hunger. However, the title “Titanic” has
more hidden and secret meaning, it only says the name of a ship but no one from
the audience knows what the movie is going to be about just by reading the
title.
Titles (cast and crew):
Opening credits are shown at the very beginning and list the most important members of the production. They are now usually shown as text superimposed on a blank screen or static pictures, or sometimes on top of action in the show. There may or may not be accompanying music.
Establishing shot:
An establishing shot establishes the setting of a scene. When we see a shot of the sun setting behind the exterior of a building, and then we cut to the inside of that building where our scene takes place, we have seen an establishing shot.
Soundtrack
A soundtrack, also written sound track, can be recorded music accompanying and synchronized to the images of a motion picture, book, television program or video game.
Introducing the characters in films:
The main characters of a film are often introduced straight from the beginning of the film.
