RESEARCH - Analyse of 3 title sequences - Run Lola run

RUN LOLA RUN

Micro Analyses:
1. Camera
- Mid shots of people
- Profile shots
- Very wild shot of the city ------->

2. Editing
- Animation of red hair girl running
- Special effects for the title, created by football balls
- Fast movement of characters, after which focused on the main characters

3. Mise-en-scene
- Policeman costume
- Football balls
- A house
- A street phone
- A mobile phone
- Too much light reflected into the camera, creating
 overexposure ------>

4. Sound
- Foley of a clock
- A wild track of people whispering
- Narrator's voice
- A wild track of a camera taking photos

Macro Analyses:
1. The key plot introduced is a girl running, perhaps from dangerous people or maybe she is dangerous and running from the law.

2. The storyline is introduced through the group of people where the main characters are on focus, after which there is an animation of a running girl, which connects to the title 'Run Lola run'.

3. The characters are introduced at the end where they are presented through profile shots of their front, back and sides and their names underneath. The photos convey the idea of prison photos because of the type of shots, suggesting these characters are criminals.
The main character, Lola, is presented through the animation. It shows her running along a road inside a vortex. As the names of characters appear, she smashes them with her fist, suggesting she is a good character and a possible theme of heroism.

4. The social group, which is +18, is presented negatively because from the introduction of characters the audience get the idea of criminalism.

Title Conventions
Since the titles are in a language different than English, I'm suggesting the order was in the following way:
1. IDENT
2. Characters
3. The crew for creating the film.
