Legally Blonde opening sequence.
The opening to a film shows the credits in the title sequence, this is because it is needed for the audience to understand more about the movie itself and the production as it shows the audience the names of those who worked in, or on the film.
In the film legally blonde the first thing you the audience learns is that it was made by a company called Metro-Goldwyn- mayor pictures and was produced by Marc Platt.
The name of the movie then appears on screen 'legally blonde' followed by the main actress's name 'Reese Witherspoon'. throughout this behind the words is a clip of blonde hair being brushed who the audience can assume is the protagonist.
This is followed by a montage of clips going from the girl with the hair getting ready to a girl riding a bike around a typical american campus delivering a card to 'Elle'. this sets the setting and time period as we see modern activities and people. The clips then show that the card is being sent around to be signed for the girl getting ready. In front of these clips are the credits in pink bubbly writing. Whilst a happy and upbeat song plays in the background.
The Conjuring.
the opening to the film starts with very unsettling and creepy soundtrack.with a lot of subtle creepy sounds buried within the music such as; intakes of breath, wind chimes ect.
it starts by introducing the main plot/ characters by using family pictures with names under them, they are significant as they are not surrounded by any other sounds or names so the audience has to pay attention to them.
the rest of the opening uses old pictures and newspaper articles that are all related to the theme/plot. using headlines that are related to death and paranormal activity, whilst embedding the credit names into them.
